Just stumbled upon Annex10 and I can't exactly say why I like the links and pictures so much. They're the very cool and random trees that make an interesting forest. Maybe because she seems to be a descendant of Fletcher Christian.

To begin: I have found reviewing this stumbler, http://annex10.stumbleupon.com to be a challenge for some time. Still, I infer from her recent comments that she may close down one of the more interesting blogs out here because, in the weird world of the internet, she is being harassed by her ex. So, now is the time to go look through this blog. Why? Because we have a blogger here who excels at eliciting feelings and reactions in the reader ranging from wonderment to anger to whimsy. The range here is breathtaking, really. An eclectic, wide ranging taste in art and design, odd news items, politics, youtube videos, the odd nature photo, lots of science, elegant reviews of other stumblers, homages to the Meat Puppets (cult, alt rock group) and more. Really, what we have here is a quirky and intelligent mind engaged and commenting on the culture, high, low and in between. And it is the commentary, ranging from restrained to enraged, intelligent to ironic, sentimental to silly to sarcastic that really separates this blog. To conclude: If you are a reader and have come this far, consider some of these words... "Cute without being cloying. This guy's got marshmallow melanin, but avoids being sticky sweet" " To what end technology? Why the drive for ever faster and ever smaller processors with which to boggle the mind? I hope someday we can DVR our dreams. Who knows where that will lead us, to the bizarre, the ridiculous, the sublime: To find the grand scale of things in the most diminutive, to find the concrete in the esoteric, the end of rationality in a cryptic haze of electrons dancing." "Smart women who settle for facile intellectual homogeneity are as harmful as those who promote woman as fantasy sex object. I was in journalism school, and couldn't cut it amongst those who were writing fiction to create an image instead of working to find facts. Canned interviews exist only to fit the outline in the script. I'm willing to be wrong, and to edit my opinions based on opposing views. We are the sum of our experiences and our choices on how to react" Go, spend some time, savor the sights and sounds of a mind forever thinking.
