akapearlofagirl discovered 7 months ago- "The Art of Blessing" ... is a practice that requires a determined efficient inner effort; .... through our unselfish acts, it makes us love and assist those that are unhappy, because it is God that we love in others; .... through unconditional love for all forms of God, we destroy the ego; God's presence will become more and more luminous in us and the malevolent influences will diminish accordingly; .... leads us to spiritual maturity, which creates the opportunity to meet our spiritual master. This meeting takes place through the divine game for our own necessity. His teachings will suit our requirements and we will follow him unconditionally; .... will often bring moments of synchronicity; .... is a direct and complete path without deception, it causes every fear and doubt to disappear; .... will guide us through itself. It will show us the path to follow; which is to give ourselves to humanity, to develop ourselves in a way that is mutually beneficial to humanity.

thejoyofrex rated 3 weeks ago- Having been mostly away from SU for quite some time, the better part of the last two years, I was surprised to see a thumbs down review of my page. akapearlofagirl simply wrote of it : "Who gives a rats ass about your hateful opinions?" Nothing more, nothing less. I confess I was rather saddened by that. I browsed through the other reviews of my page and find them to be positive. Granted much of what I write here is spiky and there's a fair dollop of grumble guts to it, but I couldn't think why a complete stranger would take such offense at it as to call my opinions hateful and to suggest that nobody could care a "rats ass" for them. (I also confess to finding that phrase rather entertaining, it reminded me of the moment in Godzilla when a French soldier hands out chewing gum to his troops, who are operating undercover, explaining that "chew this, it makes us look more American!" Two possibilities exist. Either my opinions are hateful, in which I need to take a VERY serious look at myself, or my opinions are not hateful, but something about how I have expressed myself has led someone to believe they are. In which case I need to rethink my prose, tone it down, cut out chunks. I've never really thought twice about what I write hear, it's my chance to say the first thing that comes into my head and expect it to bother nobody. Perhaps I should be more careful? First, a look at the evidence I present myself. Of my last fifty reviews, 44 are upthumbs, 6 downthumbs. Scaled up I'd say this made me 8% hateful, in and of itself, but of course it's not a very meaningful statistic. Of the downthumbs, I've read through and to my surprise I can see why they could be construed as hateful. Some of them at least. INFJmindhunter left me a message saying that although he already had 200 friends and couldn't consequently add me as one, he'd appreciate it if I added him. Well I neg'd him straight off, without bothering to explain why, though I didn't swear and wasn't in any way personal. Then there's the CBI, who I gave a right bashing... For their manipulation of the British political field's response to climate change. Then there's the campaign to ban Islam. They got a down in the mildest possible terms. A pattern emmerges. I'm more than willing to slate, but not at a personal level. That is to say there is much on my blog which is worded in cross language, and much of it is genuinely fired by upset and anger, but never is there anything personal. Ok Donald Rumsfeld probably wouldn't like much of what I've said about him, but that's hardly material, he's never going to read it. I've never sought to hurt anyone's feelings. And isn't that what a hateful person seeks to do? Well. I may be hateful, if I am it'll take a therapist to make me see it (and an army, I presume, of therapists to make the people who know me see it, for never in my life has one of them called me hateful). But hateful I may be. Since however I don't see my page as displaying hateful sentiments (whether I harbor them internally or not), I am left in a quandary as to why this seemingly nice little old lady, whom I have never contacted, in fact with whom I've never had any communication whatsoever, called me hateful. Any thoughts? I've thumbsed her up as I never miss the chance to upthumb an INFP and aside from being rather sentimental, I can see nothing particularly harmful in her page.
