shrike71 discovered 3 months ago- (I'm waiting for Mr. UPS to deliver one of my parts...) Here's an excellent description of the mind-numbing scam regarding corn-based Ethanol and it being our "fuel of the future". 9 points, all supported by independent analysis and links to supporting documents.

groupsilence rated 8 weeks ago- His WHOLE argument is about using CORN. Ethanol IS cleaner, cheaper and easier if you use a crop that converts such as canola. Canada has used it successfully for years. YEARS. CORN is being used so the USA can subsidize its farmers. No one with common sense would use CORN. Why do people constantly lie? You americans should really start shutting your mouths.

metally79 rated 8 weeks ago- "The politicians want us to burn more ethanol in our cars. Like most plans concocted by politicians, this one is a terrible idea that is having devastating consequences. Here are the facts about ethanol . . . Ethanol consumes more energy than it produces. A study by Cornell and UC Berkeley found that corn converted to ethanol consumes 29% more energy than it creates. Most of these energy losses come from the burning of extra fossil fuels. Energy losses from other sources of ethanol, such as switch grass (45%) and wood (57%) are even worse."

Nutzilla rated 8 weeks ago- I give this article a thumbs down because the biggest thing is that ethanol wastes more energy, which is wrong. But it ratio is very low to make it, maybe 1 to 1.3; as compared to Brazil, with a 1 to 9 with sugar. I think that we really need to get away from engines and use just motors.

CLRDAISY rated 8 weeks ago- Development of Better power storage,it can and must be done and the use of Solar and the Wind will eliminate a big portion of the air pollution from fossil fuels besides the fossil fuels will run out eventually much less smog will be created by autos and factories I know thats the goal their shooting for, it's time for it too be done now not just wished for or just talked about! Leave the food supplies Alone people "NEED IT" too "Live" ! "IT'S A FACT"

hoangmphung rated 9 weeks ago- An excellent 9-point analysis that exposes the biofuel scam that is being touted by the government. And what does that scam cost humanity? More than just the economic and environmental cost is, it's millions of deaths by starvation that are occurring in the world now.

ihaveavianflu rated 9 weeks ago- Is it even surprising anymore?

newwes rated 9 weeks ago- Some excellent points to put a stake in the heart of the ethanol scam. Ethanol should be consumed by humans, not cars.

Tevon rated 2 months ago- More importantly, end the global warming scam!!

- fine, but at least corn is a renewable resource, and fossil fuels aren't

marco1173 rated 2 months ago- I long suspected what this article just confirmed. Ethanol is a scam and we're all paying handsomely for it. Enough is enough. We're out there looking for incredibly idiotic ways to get us out of even more idiotic habits -like burning fossil fuels- when the answer is right above our idiotic heads. It's called solar energy and guess what, it's cheap, it'll NEVER run out, it doesn't contribute to global warming, and it makes all other energy sources just plain silly. But the Government and Big Oil don't like solar energy because they can't stake any claim to it and thus profit from it. That's the real reason we're instead looking into >ahem<... ethanol.
