Pain-killers kill me. Mom used to make me put a wide bottle filled with tolerably hot water on my abdomen until the pain subsides. But sometimes the pain's too much to bear, I don't think even scalding hot water can help. Acai's now being recommended to help. But I'm too scared of herbal stuff.
