DoctorSkot rated 9 months ago- If only this would happen all across the country. Even though the Boy Scouts is considered a private organization (and thus they rationalize their exclusion of gays), the Boy Scouts is allowed to rent public spaces all across the country for free or $1 a month. Furthermore, their bi-annual jubilee-thing-whatever takes place on government property rent-free, and hundreds of military people help set the thing up, free of charge to the Boy Scouts. So even though the Boy Scouts are a private organization, they still get numerous benefits from the government that ultimately end up costing tax-payer money.

Raumohir rated 9 months ago- There's gender discrimination here too. I wonder what kind of rent the girl scouts would have to pay?

toshrug rated 9 months ago- I am proud of Philly. The boy scouts need to pay up and keep paying. They will not likely change their policy of discrimination because they are controlled and owned by the Mormons. The BSA is the, "activity arm of the Mormon priesthood." (their words, not mine)

toddnks rated 9 months ago- Its quite amazing how idiotic a city could be. Come on, if your gay, thats fine, leave private organizations out of your power trip. From the page: "City officials say they cannot legally rent taxpayer-owned property for a nominal sum to a private organization that discriminates. The city owns the land on which the council's 1928 Beaux Arts building sits."

AtlasEndures rated 9 months ago- Take that! POW!
