Looks to be worthy of a friend request, or a request to be "mutual subscribers" in the "new SU" {sic}.

Well, Shitao definitely channels his Qing era namesake -- an artist and Buddhist/Taoist spiritual seeker of immeasurable value. There's a veritable goldmine of art, photography, and poetry to be found here in addition to spiritually insightful links. What more can one ask for? Shitao's blog is a testimonial to the fact that the world is our school for spiritual discovery. As a student of this school, I will visit frequently. Thanks Shitao!

'..start a new hobby, get naked, howl at the moon, ingest ergot and/or deepfry some twinkies and feed them to people you're troubled by..... apart from that just be kind and forgive those you can and bark at those you can't.' - Shitao. Hahaha :-)

Not to be putting on a pedestal or anything but Tim's pages are sort of sacred. I mean through all of it. It is an art work in itself and he is a fine painter too. Emil Orlik: Tempelgarten in Kyoto Full Moon and Little Frieda A cool small evening shrunk to a dog bark and the clank of a bucket - And you listening. A spider's web, tense for the dew's touch. A pail lifted, still and brimming - mirror To tempt a first star to a tremor. Cows are going home in the lane there, looping the hedges with their warm wreaths of breath - A dark river of blood, many boulders, Balancing unspilled milk. 'Moon!' you cry suddenly, 'Moon! Moon!' The moon has stepped back like an artist gazing amazed at a work That points at him amazed. --Ted Hughes

Shitao is not a quick stumble. Thoughts, images, humor: so much to love here!
