Judefa, You taught me a new word: spruiking. A GREAT word; will now use it often. Thanks. LOL! Thanks for your review of me and for your insightful questions. You are most perceptive: the reviews are (mostly) fictitious, but the names are variants of real people (except the first one from The Naveah Chronicle, which is a direct excerpt from the book). The second, Miller Stanley's, is real: Stan is a friend of mine, and, yes, those are his direct words to me---after reading the book (spelling of names changed--see below). Third, "Will Cample" is "Bill Rempel", an editor and investigative reporter and author with the Los Angeles Times. Coincidentally, I talked via phone with Bill yesterday, and (for the second time) read him "his" review. His response, "I could not have said it any better myself." We had a giant laugh over "his" review. And, yes, he HAS read the entire book. The final "review" by Mike Abranoff is a deliberate misspelling of "Mike Isikoff", a Newsweek investigative reporter and author. He used to work for The Washington Post. Mike and I talked about "his" review months ago and then again this morning, and (like Bill Rempel) he thought it a hoot. BTW, the names are different because the book is set in an alternate/parallel universe. NO intent to mislead at all; just some harmless spoofing and my (lame?) attempt (unsuccessful?) at humor. And, yes, my friends and SU visitors are astute enough to recognize my spoofing. If nothing else gives it away, the names of the publications clearly convey to even the less astute that the "book reviews" are a spoof. Besides, most of my SU friends know already that I am full of unadulterated emu dung--or kangaroo excrement (take your pick--each is WAY beyond "bullshit"). :) Jude, you are the first to notice the spoof--or at least to call me on it. I posted these "Book Reviews" back in June-July--and not ONE stumbler challenged me. Quite frankly, I was disappointed cause this IS a very intelligent and educated community on the whole, and I marveled that I had gotten away with one. BTW, I told both Bill Rempel and Mike Isikoff that I simply wrote what they would have written---minus the critical stuff. After all, I told them, they are MY damn reviews so I can leave out their "balancing" or "critical" remarks if I choose to. Neither one objected. :) Any other questions: please ask. Thanks again for your review and excellent questions. MindHunterINFJ

Not just MindHunterINFJ is "a Kierkegaardian existentialist Christian who thinks it is more rational to believe in God than not, but I do not hesitate to question him or Him". Sense of humor is also on the checklist. Here is something I liked from the page: "Two elderly ladies are sitting on the front porch, doing nothing. One lady turns and asks, 'Do you still get horny?' The other replies, 'Oh sure I do.' The first old lady asks, 'What do you do about it?' The second old lady replies, 'I suck a lifesaver.' After a few moments, the first old lady asks, 'Who drives you to the beach?'"
