KahlilaGibran rated 6 days ago- I go to thumb him up but just before cursor reaches toolbar I see something out of the corner of my eye. An apology for the US in Iraq, usually, or another slandering of liberals. Happens every time. He is, however, my pet Republican, and I think those who have bagged him in the reviews have failed to see his warmth, good humour and earthiness. It's their loss; we need laughs and open discussion around here more than polemics and endless earbashing by the insufferably serious. Having said that . . . I return to my first point. Jack, you worry me!

- I am reposting my review of Rusty; Rusty is a really good guy, and I feel his blog is not a true picture of the person he is. His girlfriend does not agree with his religious or political views. And I sure as hell don't. But if you talk to him on a personal level, he is a great guy. Knowing him, I get a bit peeved and feel badly that people on here think he is this ogre. He may come across like that but he is not, I have talked to him for years and he is one of the nicest people I know. So back the fuck off lol.

Just because I don't like Israel, doesn't mean I have to like Islam.
The world is not black or white, left or right, Israel or Islam. There is no hole in my heart that just has to be filled with the love for some country full of brown people.
And that's why you die-hard Reds (detect the Irony in that?) have it all wrong. The world isn't just black or white; there are many, many shades of gray. And unlike what yourmindfearless leader says, a person doesn't have to be "With us or a'gin us" - there can be no side at all.
The rest of the world seems to be doing quite well by keeping their collective noses in their own respective business.
How's that Empire thing working out for you over there? I hear it's doing wonders for the economy.
