Angry in close to the right way to be angry:- From the page: "Besmirching Adam Smith's name by applying hokey pseudo-reasoning to actual economic issues. Argument is self contradictory. The concept of a rest state as an analogy is a misappropriation. Poverty is intergenerational on a societal scale. IT HAS CAUSES. THIS PERSON IS AN IDIOT."

I should add that poverty of third world nations is caused by the same thing as poverty domestically: natural resource theft. Most of the world wasn't poor until our governments went in there and bribed or bullied or murdered their way into control of natural resources. The same is true in the US and the UK. The source of all wealth is land and theives have claimed ownership of land, enslaving the rest of us. Latin America is leading the way in fighting back.

"Sadly, I have the feeling that if Writ of Habeas Corpus was not restored then it would not be long before a certain other right would have had to to be exercised in its place: the right exercised by the founders of our country when they declared independence in the first place- the right to revolution. The Writ of Habeas Corpus is more fundamental to the United States than any possible symbol or person. As for the question of citizenship? Habeas Corpus is too fundamental to civil rights. And civil rights belong to everyone. To pretend that non-Americans are different, and deserve a different due process- or none at all- is at the root of so many of the abuses in the world." ... I couldn't agree more - glad to have stumbled across your page.

So what is this terrifying test of atheism which can be explained in a single sentence? I am not an atheist, but I am curious...

"even imaginary worlds become holy places if they can be shared." This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard from anyone. Thanks for sharing it, along with other glimpses into your perspective.
