stina665 rated 5 months ago- Actually this is my Ancestral home; it's a small thing; but good for small parties and soiree's. A bit drafty and cold though and the heating costs? well we just won't go there?
Upon further inspection of my lineage it would appear that a slight adjustment is necessary; This is NOT my ancestral home after all, my family tree does not branch properly and my actual family home is in a trailer park somewhere in the deep south... :(- Actually this is my Ancestral home; it's a small thing; but good for small parties and soiree's. RubyShooZ rated 6 months ago- La Palais Ideal, Hauterives, Southern France "Cheval told no one about his plan fearing they would think he had lost his mind. For 15 years Cheval was a mailman by day and an architect by night, building his palace of stones and intricately carved concrete with little available light and no assistance." Started in 1879 and finished in 1912, it took over 10,000 days, 93,000 hours, and 33 years of toil. The palace shows a mix of inspirations including the Bible, Neuschwanstein, a Hindu sanctuary, and a sandcastle. Cheval wanted to be buried in his palace, and when French authorities forbade it, he built himself a magnificent vault in the local cemetery at the age of 80.
