1389AD discovered 5 months ago- The beginning of an ongoing series on 1389 Blog.

patoloco rated 5 months ago- From the page: "If this article seems a little one-sided and simplistic, GOOD!" It is, but it's also a pretty good wrap up of what is going in in the "FRY" (or Former Republic of Yugoslavia).

SerbianFighter rated 5 months ago- From the page: "The real question should be: why was Yugoslavia put together in the first place? Yugoslavia was an artificial country put together after World War I. It was much like Czechoslovakia. Neither country existed before the 20th century began, and neither was to survive the 20th century intact." The main reason for creating was gathering all Slavic people under one roof, much like Czechoslovakia and USSR. Communism was the guide line for these countries and that made it certain that they will break sooner or later. Communism is based on a thought that all people are equal and lives up to it, every body got the same assets in the begging so the poor were happy but the rich were furious because they were now the same as poor. There were more poor so, most people were content. But main flaw is that one man ruled absolutely, for life, Yugoslavia luckily got Tito. But nobody likes strong states and it's easier to break them if they already have the lines in the dust drowned. It's suspected that foreign governments conspired to break the county. In my opinion when you cut of the snakes head... after Tito and Stalin died their countries fell apart cause they needed a firm hand to keep them together and that just wasn't possible to maintain forever.

actionjoe rated 5 months ago- These are both from the same page. I confuse easily. Could it be that the author of the web page seems to think it's okay to call for extinction of a religion while saying the Serbs got a bad rap at the same time? Could be, doc! Way to keep it real.

monkeychapps rated 5 months ago- I like it

SEPTom rated 5 months ago- Balkans 101...the best i've ever seen from an independent source.

bhartzer rated 5 months ago- From the page: "So, why would some Serbs and Albanians get along as great neighbors while other Albanians would join the KLA and fight against the same Serbs? It defied all ethnic analysis. So who are these people in the Balkans anyhow? Let not pretend the author is familiar with every different subgroup in the Balkans, or even in Kosovo. However, it would be a good start to examine the major religions or the area."
