- It appears almost *all* modern fulfillments of prophecy is essentially the establishment of the state of Israel. I think it's a little dishonest to list ten or twenty mentions of it in scripture as twenty separate prophecies. It's simply the same prophecy repeated several times. And it's fulfilled. That's good enough.
No wonder then that the enemies of Jews and Christians want Israel destroyed. And no wonder some Christians are so desperate to protect it. My suggestion is to have faith: Israel won't be destroyed again. The real conflict, as we have now realized, is no longer carnal, but spiritual.
Final note: Jewish prophecies sometimes have a funny characteristic of sometimes referring to more than one happenstance in history using the same prediction. Hmm.
