Was going to shove it into my Read it Later, but just decided to sit and read it. Interesting and quite useful.

I believe that the multibladed cartridge razors were created and promoted as a sole means to make more money for the blade companies. There is only so much you can expect a man to pay for a double edged steel blade, whereas with the catridges, add a couple more blades and double the price.
