Lea Woodward is a brilliant blogger, business and technology coach who travels the world while working remotely, Tim Ferris style. Here she tells us where she gets her inspiration...from dodgy tv ads to wealth coach, Nicola Cairncross' blog....

We are about to launch an audio version of the Money Gym book, with over 10 hours of audio discussion, one on each chapter - a great way for readers to bring themselves up to date with new ways of doing things since I wrote the book. We are adding the four rocking hours of audio recorded with fellow Ecademy BlackStar Mike Segall, on Debt, Property, New Business Generation Via Tele-Marketing, and Wealth Creation generally.

Then we will bundle that with the "One Time Only" offer that people see when they click to buy the ebook, to make it even more compelling. It already includes three months membership of the site, and a hard copy of the book shipped to their door, so the audio will be a nice value add to that.

Then we will get the audio transcribed so that people like me, who would rather have really horrible things done to them, than listen to hours of audio, can read along with the chit chat. More added value.

What's next?

Hmmmmm, the "Women Talk Money" workshop in London. Sorry to say, but if you registered your interest last week, you might want to do it again, as something went wrong on the "back end" as us internet marketers say, and it didn't register anyone. You can do that here at themoneygym.com/Workshop [themoneygym.com/Workshop] .

The sun's shining, the sea is blue and it's coming up for 6pm - tankini time! Holiday rules apply on Shoreham Beach!

Have fun! We most certainly are....

At last the sun is shining! Towards the middle of last week, summer really arrived at last on Shoreham Beach and boy! I can tell you, it's made a heck of a difference to how I feel. Waking up every day in the certain expectation the sun will be shining or, if it's not, that it will be later.

Funny how the sun shining can make everything seem possible, it makes sitting outside the house, on my little bench in the sun, seem like the best way to spend time (without a computer!) and it's interesting how one's thoughts turn to travel when the sun shines. I'm happy at home when the weather is bad, I have coping mechanisms and you don't notice. But of course, if one wasn't' at home, the weather might not be quite so bad!

After finally actually getting round to reading the "4 Hour Work Week" - an instant classic by the way - and realising that, after building my house in Greece, what I most want is to travel the world and learn new things in each place! And that, with The Money Gym, the kids, and the people I love, will jolly well do me on the achievement front.

If you have been reading my ex-client, Lea Woodward's blog, "The Wandering Woodwards: In An Ideal World" then you will know that this is exactly what she and her husband, Jonathan, have been doing. They are travelling the world looking for the dream location to work from. Being a LIP, she calls it, Location Independent Professional. Great name, great concept and one we embrace wholeheartedly at Money Gym Towers.

The kid's are off to Egypt for a week with their Dad leaving a quiet house here, which is great because there are no more webinars till September, so it's a product creation time interspersed with barbeques, trips down the beach (daytime for sunning and evenings (and even nights) for swimming, when the sea feels warmer!)

We have had a great week work-wise, with all the amendments that we have made to The Money Gym over the last year, and mainly due to Rich Shefren's "Manifesto" starting to filter through into a scaleable, sustainable, marketing and product funnel, integrating slowly but surely with the new membership site. Gold Express is going like a bomb even with the end of the Summer Special promotion, because I've put the imminent membership fee rise on the site

We have integrated the Kayako support system into our sites, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, except for some miscommunication with the Indian Helpdesk/Installation people. Their English was excellent and they were very helpful, but we had one issue that we just couldn't resolve, due to the words seeming to mean something else entirely to my contact there, than they did to me. Steve had to step in eventually and he was able to puzzle out that the issue was, as usual, due to my thinking the software would definitely do something, that it definitely didn't'. But it's very sexy to use, and as you reply to questions from your members, you can tick a box and add it, and the reply, to the key-word searchable knowledge base. How cool is that?

Automated marketing, automated delivery of product, automated outsourcing of support...we are SO getting there. Talking of automated marketing, I had a great call with Mike Segall about generating new business, principly via tele-marketing (not to be confused with tele-selling) and he's pretty much convinced me it can work for any business (if you have a good lead conversion mechanism). Well, we do, in the form of Judith Morgan, demon complementary introductory call giver, who just gently shows folks how we do things round here, and blows their mind a bit about the fact they are often independently wealthy but they just hadn't realised it.....Listen to the call with Mike on the blog, under "podcast" - should be up by tomorrow at wealthcoach.typepad.com [wealthcoach.typepad.com] .

I tell them about the woman who is making in one week more than she used to earn in one month from her old business, and she's doing it in under half an hour a day, rather than a 12 hour day, the dentist who had enough equity to become a multi-millionaire almost overnight - he actually did it in under six months - and who still asks us when he sees us "Am I a millionaire yet?" laughing as he does so!

That's a thousands of per cent ROI on their membership fees! And a lot of the time we can show them how to pay for their Money Gym fee from OPM "other people's money" so their ROI is infinity!!

An infinity return on investment! That's what the property investors get, when they are able to force up the appreciation of a property, re-finance it and get their cash out again.

The only people who don't' get an ROI, are the ones that don't come to the calls, don't do the homework or who take no action. The one's who don't listen, who hang onto their limiting and negative beliefs or allow others to influence them accordingly.

Those are NOT the members of themoneygym.com [themoneygym.com]

THE END

If you think that the property may grow in value by 10% that year, then add £5,000 to the £2400 rental profit, to find that your ROI is now 14.8%.

Compare that with a similar deal, where you can buy a business card printing machine franchise generating £25,000 per year profit and you have to put in £75,000 to acquire the business. 33.3 % ROI and you have to go round emptying the money. Worth it for those returns, you say?

But what if you had an 80% mortgage on the property, and the interest repayments were covered by the rent, still leaving you with the same rental profit per annum?

You have spent £10k to acquire that profit, you have a profit including capital appreciation of £7400k so your ROI is now 74%.

And no work for you, in the form of the money collection.

But whichever way, both returns are a bit better than the building society returns and both are "Feed Me's".

Use your yardstick, don't change the goalposts and choose opportunities to fit your strategy or plan.

IN BUSINESS ALREADY?

If you already have a business, think about the startup costs and how much time you spent setting it up.

Are you getting a 35% return on your investment, year on year?
Will you get a 35% return on your investment in ten years even?

What is your exit strategy? Are you going to work in your business till you drop, or will you eventually sell it?

Would anyone invest in your business right now? Would you?

Would it sell today and if not, why not? Would YOU buy it? If not, why not?

These could be some of the most important questions you ever ask yourself about your business.

We have a visual "Return On Investment" model in the property module at The Money Gym Club - you can adapt it for using to evaluate business opportunities. In fact, you can use it to compare any opportunity - like with like.

If you are thinking of setting up a new business, think about the projected return on your investment and what your exit strategy will be - how will you get your money out again?

Most entrepreneurs think that they have to sink everything into their business in terms of time and money; this shows commitment after all. A serious businessperson, however, would be planning to get their money out again as soon as possible, with a good ROI, while leaving the business to thrive healthily and continue to pay them dividends based on profits.

Buy "E-Myth Revisited" and "Rich Dad's Guide to Investment" and devour them. Make notes, underline, and take on board their wisdom.

Your business will never be the same.

THE MONEY GYM ANSWER

So, what is our answer to the Money Gym ROI question?

Judith says "By the time they ask this, I usually know quite a lot about them, and the things I am looking for are

1. Are they bright enough to understand what we teach

2. What is their preparedness to take action (motivation) for
whatever reasons

3. Do they have any time - to do the work and take the action - are they willing to read some books and turn the television off?

4. Do they have any equity - so can afford to get into property
investment - which depending on how much they've got can ensure their financial security and ROI overnight often

5. Could they develop maybe, an enthusiasm for learning how to trade the stockmarket, which could soon match their take-home pay if they are in a job, or

6. Are they self employed or do they already have an
under-performing business which we can teach them to run much, much more profitably

So my short answer is "how long is a piece of string" and I tell them that, and why.

Then I go on to give them examples of the girl who made her boyfriend over £18,000 in pure profit in under a week after learning what we know about the internet, the chap who made over £80,000 in one lunchtime by just chatting to another member.

To be continued.....
