I love music, I write about music, I attend gigs and listen to music, I write for a number of music publications. Ironically I can't play a note of music! I can't dance either,but I try after a drink or five ! "Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music." My biggest claim to fame is having a picture in an exhibition at the Liverpool Tate Gallery. I'm an occasional promoter putting on new bands and trying to help them break the "Pop Idol" "X-Factor" cartel that's taking the joy from pop music. I also write a music blog

Brightonâ€s polka dot 60′s uber girl-group revisionists The Pipettes were undoubtedly great fun but one always suspected they had a time limited appeal and that creatively certain members of the group may have had more offer then forever playing the role of polka-dotted pop princesses. Certainly after a fabulously, frivolously, frisky debut album the band did seem to lose their way and when Rebecca Stephens, arguably the Pipette whose pop personae as â€oeRiotbecki” infused the group with much of its personality and spirit, quit the band many of their fans followed suit.

Among the allegations were that disabled people had suffered verbal abuse,lack of food and heating,the opening of dodgy bank accounts in their name and having their bag snatched ( "Service Provider 10 would take the bag off him/her and take the money out of it without any explanation or justification").
However we were relieved to read that CSCI , which we believe is now known as the "Care" "Quality" Commission - were able to provide a perfectly rational explanation of what was going on:
" There is no financial abuse.
The money that the service users have left over is given to Service Provider 11 for the service users to have a nice grave when they pass away"
Oh that's all right then!, and what about the poor soul who was still going hungry THREE AND A HALF YEARS after it was first reported to Social Services?
