The action thriller The Grey starring Liam Neeson, Dallas Roberts, Frank Grillo, and Dermot Mulroney and is directed by The A-Team director Joe Carnahan will be released tomorrow, January 27th. The Grey is better than it has any right to be, especially for a time of the year that is known for not so great cinema. If there\'s one movie you see in the theaters this month make it The Grey.

Yimou Zhang\'s latest historic drama The Flowers of War starring Christian Bale is being released this weekend in Houston at the Edwards Marq*E IMAX 23 movie theater. With an incredible performance by Bale and a so bleak it\'s beautiful kind of atmosphere, The Flowers of War is definitely something worth hunting down.

Steven Soderbergh\'s latest action thriller Haywire starring MMA fighter Gina Carano, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Michael Douglas, and Antonio Banderas hits theaters tomorrow, January 20th. It may not be quite as good as Contagion, but it\'s still pretty good.

The new Fullmetal Alchemist movie The Sacred Star of Milos will begin its short one week run at the Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks location starting tomorrow, January 20th. It will also have an extremely limited two day run at both the Studio Movie Grill City Centre and Studio Movie Grill Copperfield locations starting February 1st and ending on February 2nd. I highly recommend you try and see this film.

Roman Polanski\'s latest dramatic comedy Carnage starring Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet, and Christoph Waltz is now playing all over Houston. You should read this review on why you shouldn\'t care.

This is extremely short notice, but one of my favorite movies ever (Oldboy) is playing tonight at the Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks location at 6:30pm. Tickets are only $9. If you haven't seen it or even you have, I highly recommend going to see it on the big screen in 35mm the way it was meant to be seen.
