We are happy to announce that we have successfully showcased 28 Australian Startups in IT/Media/Telecom/eCommerce/Social Networking/Marketing/News/SAAS. We also covered 3 surprise entries which missed the competition by a whisker in registering for the carnival with extended dates :-).

Updates on Australian Startups Carnival March 3-17 2008

Let me first say this, today is a historic day, we said sorry to our brothers and sisters. Kevin Rudd and others need a big pat on their back for this achievement. We now look forward to the brighter future for our countrymen who have been out the main stream for a long time.

Now updates on the carnivals progress and what's going behind the scenes:

2. Until now 6 applications has been received.
4. Carnival updates are available via Silicon Alley Insider Twitter community.
3. Cebit Australia organizer approached us, further detail in coming days/next week.
4. Meet with 2 organizations interested in sponsoring the event.
5. Om Malik declined to be part of the Judging Panel.
6. Still looking for ideal candidates on Judging panel. One Interest from US based VC/Writer received. Waiting for confirmation.
7. One media company wants to write about it. Detail in coming days.
