Greg Boerboom raises 37,000 pigs a year on his farm in Marshall, Minn. Those hogs eat a lot of corn--10 bushels each from weaning to sale. In past years he has bought feed for about $2 a bushel. But since late summer, average corn prices have leapt to nearly $4 a bushel. To reduce feed costs, he sells his pigs before they reach the normal 275 pounds, and keeps them warmer so they don't devour more food fighting off the cold. Still, Boerboom hopes just to break even. "It's been a pretty tight squeeze on pork producers," he says. "The next eight months will be really tough."

Washington's calculated,
absurd plan
What's driving this extraordinary change? Here things get pretty interesting. The Bush Administration is making a major public relations push to convince the world it has turned into a "better steward of the environment." The problem is that many have fallen for the hype.

The center of his program, announced in his January State of the Union Address is called '20 in 10', cutting US gasoline use 20% by 2010. The official reason is to "reduce dependency on imported oil," as well as cutting unwanted "greenhouse gas" emissions. That isn't the case, but it makes good PR. Repeat it often enough and maybe most people will believe it. Maybe they won't realize their taxpayer subsidies to grow ethanol corn instead of feed corn are also driving the price of their daily bread through the roof.

The heart of the plan is a huge, taxpayer subsidized
expansion of use of bio-ethanol for transport fuel. The President's plan
requires production of 35 billion gallons (about 133 billion liters) of ethanol a year by 2017. Congress already mandated with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that corn ethanol for fuel must rise from 4 billion gallons in 2006 to 7.5 billion in 2012. To make certain it will happen, farmers and big agribusiness giants like ADM or David Rockefeller get generous taxpayer subsidies to grow corn for fuel instead of food. Currently ethanol producers get a subsidy in the US of 51 cents per gallon ethanol paid to the blender, usually an oil company that blends it with gasoline for sale.

As a result of the beautiful US Government subsidies to
produce bio-ethanol fuels, and the new legislative mandate, the US refinery
industry is investing big time in building new special ethanol distilleries, similar to oil refineries, except they produce ethanol fuel. The number currently under construction exceeds the total number of oil
refineries built in the US over the past 25 years. When finished in the next 2-3 years the demand for corn and other grain to make ethanol for car fuel will double from present levels.

Not just USA bio-ethanol. In March Bush met with Brazil's President to sign a bilateral "Ethanol Pact" to cooperate in R&D of "next generation" bio-fuel technologies like cellulosic ethanol from wood, and joint cooperation in "stimulating" expansion of bio-fuels use in developing countries, especially in Central America, and creating a "bio-fuels OPEC-like" cartel market with rules that allows formation of a Western Hemisphere ethanol market.

In short, the use of farmland worldwide for bio-ethanol and other bio-fuels--burning the food product rather than using it for human or animal food--is being treated in Washington, Brazil and other major centers, including the EU, as a major new growth industry.

Phony green arguments

Bio-fuel--gasoline or fuel produced from refining food products--is being hyped as a solution to the controversial Global Warming problem. Leaving aside the faked science and the political interests behind the sudden hype about dangers of global warming, bio-fuels offer no net positive benefits over oil even under best conditions."

South African soldiers and police have arrested more than 5 000 illegal border-crossers in the past fortnight, but National Assembly safety and security committee chairperson Maggie Sotyu said on Friday that this number was only "the people we manage to catch".

Sotyu and other MPs have just returned from a fact-finding visit to several border posts. She said no one knows the true figure of illegal immigrants, but one border official said the number could be between 2 000 and 3 000 a day.

Butcheries, stores, factories and fuel stations have been unable to replace materials sold at below the original cost since the government's prices edict on June 25, officially slashing prices by about 50 percent in response to the country's rampant inflation.

Official inflation is pegged at 4 500 percent, the world's highest, although independent financial institutions estimate that inflation is running closer to 9 000 percent.

On Friday, Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille claimed that Zimbabwe had become a vampire state that had turned on its own people.


"By any definition of a modern state, Zimbabwe barely exists.

Zille described the Zimbabwe government's attempts at price stabilisation as a military operation intended to scuttle the hostile business community and a "shocking instance of vampirism at its worst".

"The selfsame militias enforcing the price slashes then seize the goods and resell them on the black market. The apocalypse - mass starvation and a headlong flight from the country, chiefly into South Africa - has arrived," she predicted."

Half a million immigrants working illegally in Britain should be allowed to stay, according to a thinktank with close links to Downing Street.

A report published today by the influential Institute for Public Policy Research argues that finding and forcibly deporting all Britain's illegal workers would cost £4.7 billion and take 30 years. The study says if these migrants were allowed to stay they would pay £1 billion a year in tax to the Treasury.

The number living illegally in the UK is thought to have soared in recent years, with the Government accused of failing to police borders adequately.The pressure group MigrationWatch UK calculates that there are up to 870,000 illegal immigrants in Britain, but the Government believes there are no more than 570,000.

"Our economy would shrink and we would notice it in uncleaned offices, dirty streets and unstaffed pubs and clubs if we tried to deport hundreds of thousands of people," he said. "So we have a choice: make people live in the shadows, exploited and fearful of the future... or bring them into the mainstream, to pay taxes and live an honest life."

The report also recommends that unauthorised migrants who can show they have been working and contributing to the UK should be given a two-year work permit, with their families allowed to remain."

The real interesting part is that after the government allows the problem to fester and the people demand a solution, the powers-that-be then introduce Orwellian methods to "control" that which they caused in the first place. Problem, Reaction, Solution. More Big Brother solutions, less privacy, and a tighter grip by the growing one world government. God help us.

Okay, what does it take to declare Martial Law in America? It takes 1) a declared state of emergency, 2) a readied "homeland" paramilitary system to enforce the powers of Martial Law, and 3) one signature of the one person who has the authority to make the declaration.

So, let's get this straight. 1) In 1933, America's WAS declared into a state of emergency, which has never been rescinded. We ARE PRESENTLY in a declared state of emergency (and have been for nearly 75 years), 2) multiple paramilitary systems have been raised, readied, operating, and practicing - beginning in 1974, and 3) the president of the united States need only sign a piece of paper to END the constitutional government of the united States.

On May 9, 2007, our president signed a National Security Presidential Directive - an unconstitutional piece of paper - which gave to himself the powers of total dictatorship over the entire nation (NSPD-51) and CONgress has no say so whatsoever. Can you say "total dictatorship?"

But more to the point, the question we must ask ourselves is this: are we NOW under Martial Law? We know for a fact that our constitutional rights have been politically and bureaucratically eliminated; we know for a fact that the global government has been raised; we know for a fact that the NAU is a fast-track reality; we know for a fact that the United Nations has absconded with our traditional military (who are not coming back to the states); we know for a fact that the United Nations Agenda 21 mandates that we live, believe, think, and act according to their worldly directives; we know for a fact that the International Property Maintenance Code has silently maneuvered itself into ALL American communities - much like Eminent Domain and land trust organizations - patiently awaiting the directive to seize MOST American homes; we know for a fact that the Civilian Labor Camps are up and readied; we know for a fact that disarmament is sneaking up on us like all global-political veils; we know for a fact that a shadow dictatorship manages our 2-Party system; we know for a fact that the largest global corporations in the world buy all laws into existence, AND we know for a fact that our FEAR is translating into a completely FRACTURED resistance to all-the-above. WE are in DEEP TROUBLE, America! The whole world is in deep trouble.

It is this writer's opinion that we ARE in a passive state of Martial Law RIGHT NOW."
