This is a great initiative that accomplishes a couple of things. First, it gives you a chance to get software that you'd normally have to pay for. You're not going to find Office 2007 or any high profile software like that, but I have gotten some pretty useful stuff since stumbling on this site. Second, it gets little known software publishers some well deserved attention and helps them get their products sold. Downloads are only available for 24 hours and must be activated on the same day.
