Now that's a kids' book I could get behind.

This recipe seemed simple enough that even I could do it, so I'm trying it this Thanksgiving (yes, your humble correspondent makes the turkey in our house). Update: it all turned out great. Convection ovens are the best for roasting. Even the gravy was really good although it didn't have any lumps. Our guest said it was his "best Thanksgiving ever" which was really nice to hear. Hope all you USAians had a good holiday also.

Bumping this back up as I'm making another one on Monday. I loves me some roast bird.

And, continuing the saga of the cooked fowl, it still came out well, although my mother-in-law wouldn't let me make the gravy. Personally I liked mine better than hers, but I decided not to mention that part.

She and her husband are staying in our apartment until Sunday. It should be an interesting week.

Turkey time again! I hope I can find one.

After twenty-five years in the corporate world, I've seen my share of logo redesign or "branding" as they like to call it. In nearly every case, the comments from the rank and file (that is, the people who are actually doing work to earn money for the company) have been "What the fark were they thinking?" It does my heart good to finally learn just what they think about in those meetings.
