It never occurred to me how fortunate it is not to be a celebrity. I was able to move in and out of the Occupied Territories fairly easily and observe first hand the occupation and its effects, interview Palestinians and Israelis. It would have been nice if Mc Cartney could have seen and experienced what the Palestinians face on a daily basis and the sheer magnitude of the oppression. It really doesn't come full circle until you're standing right in it. I do have to wonder if it wasn't pressure groups advising the British Embassy to tell him not to go so he wouldn't see. He's one of the few people wealthy enough that it doesn't matter what they do to him publicly. He'd be able to weather it and change minds.

This is a must read. Anyone familiar with Israeli Hasbara and the indoctrination of especially Jewish teens into their fold will recognize the standard tactics used to deflect attention from Israeli war crimes in this brilliant rebuttal to what has become the standard whining by Zionist groups whenever their racism is exposed. There were actually a few facts in here I didn't know, which is unusual on this subject given I've been writing, debating and researching it for nearly a decade now both as a journalist and a peace activist.
The writer is a Historian at Tel Aviv University and quite succinct. I've always enjoyed scholarly writing which intertwines, biblical origins, history, science and sociology. You'll find this interesting and intriguing.

ABC News so far is the only major US News media in America to cover this historic event...which shows just how controlled our media is by a pro-Israel bias. They're even too afraid to write about a humanitarian issue.
