Hello.
I've been using StumbleUpon for a while, mainly to surf the web and find whatever interests me, and on the odd occasion to introduce something I find. I love classic rock music, gaming and I'm currently studying for a mathematics and computing science degree.
I've been watching Zeitgeist, and researching a lot online. I can only come to the conclusion that our world is seriously fucked by the evil that is money (I'm atheist BTW, those words were influenced by knowledge and facts, and the standard definition of 'evil'). We live in a world where over 50% of the worlds wealth is owned by 2% of it's people, and a world where over 25,000 children die every single day due to starvation and disease.
I'm not a man with power, so I'm saddened by the fact that I can't do anything about how terrible our world is.
Think what you may about what I have said, but do not judge me, these are just conclusions I have came to by analysing the facts, impartially and without bias.
Money is something favoured by the 'elite' - those with all of it of course, also those with most power in the world.
Communism is a governing system which equalizes things much more than capitalism, would allow for everyone living under it to have a comfortable lifestyle, without disease and starvation, dividing the money equally.
Communism is not evil, it is just a system like any other, if a person who uses that system abuses it, then he or she is evil, but if perfectly managed, it is a system that could be without corruption.
Communism has long been perceived as evil by many, the main reason for this is of course anti communism propaganda, funded by those with money, who obviously oppose a system which would take much of that money from them and divide it equally among the populace, essentially.
Our world, our human race, has many barriers to overcome, money is probably the main one.
From the page: "Don't hesitate before you approach, either do it casually or move on. It comes off very creepy to have somebody eyeballing you for several minutes before they walk over."
Mwaha. Helpful page though, especially if you're shy or have social anxiety.
We live in a cruel cruel world, dominated by those with the most greed for money, who usually put this ahead of compassion for life, be it animal or human. It's horrible that factory farming even exists, it's inhumane, barbaric and immoral. Animals feel pain too, they may be less intelligent than humans but that does not justify torturing them.
Eating animals is natural, but they should be raised in a humane way and killed in a humane way, free-range sounds pretty good. Perhaps one day in the distant future we'll have all the alternatives and none of the limitations, and noone will eat meat, but at this moment in time it's an often necessary part of the human diet.
Another problem caused, ultimately, by money and greed - capitalism.
These companies and people keep animals in factory farms just to improve income, when they are already making huge profits and could easily afford to raise the animals free range.
