Lanco Hills in Hyderabad, India - by developer Lanco Group - at a cost of US$ 2.5 billion - will comprise a signature tower, 16 high rise residential towers (26 to 36 levels), 12 commercial towers (approx. 25 storey each), entertainment facilities, IT parks, clubhouse, mega mall complex, 150-key serviced apartment, and two 5-star and a 4-star hotels (Grand Hyatt and Holiday Inn), with a total of 760 guest rooms & suites.

The signature tower will stand 360 meters tall (1182 ft. / 100 storey) and will be "One of the prominent features" and "one of the world's tallest residential towers with premium spaces for the living."

Diamond Tower was designed by East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co (ECADI) - master planners of many of Shanghai's newest projects - as the centerpiece signature tower that will cap the new Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) skyline. The tower is called "The Diamond Tower" to mark Gujarat state's eminence as the diamond capital of the world.

Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in India - by developer Gujarat Urban City Development Company Ltd, a 50-50 joint venture between the Gujarat government and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS) as a Public-Private partnership - at a cost of US$ 16.3 billion - will boast 17 high rise commercial buildings; the tallest being the Diamond Tower; will stand 400 meters tall (1313 ft. / 80 levels).

The city GIFT will also feature an artificial island, integrated mass transit and dedicated expressways, residential townships, and dedicated power supply. GIFT will comprise an international techno park, technology units, international market zone, stock exchanges and services units, international education zone, integrated townships, entertainment zone, hotels and convention centre and shopping malls. The City master plan was designed by East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co (ECADI)

"The project main feature will be the proposed 7-star hotel - in the shape of a giant doughnut - and will comprise a museum, amphitheatre, meeting facilities, health center, and retail." Upon completion in 2011, the project will accommodate 10,000 residents in over 2,000 units and offer 25,000 sq. m. of retail space and over 17,000 sq. m. of office space.

(I'm not exactly sure what's going on with the Trump tower new design (on the island - 1st image above "top right corner") - compare to this).

The Cobra - by developer Al-Fawareez in Salmiya, Kuwait - will stand 150 meters tall (493 ft. / 30 floors) and comprise a 5-star hotel, an office park and commercial space. The tower was designed by Atkins and is currently pending approval of Kuwait City municipality. (I will update this post when it's approved). I want to point out that "The Cobra" project is not new and been re-designed several times - I'm including below the previously proposed tower design which I personally prefer over the new design.
