A great Tumblr with plenty of variety and interesting ideas.
New On-line store for cool t-shirts, mugs and stuff. The designs to choose from are growing daily and the images range from beautiful original art, to odd, fantastic, curious and funny.
A relatively new collection of music from Stuart Dummit, including two live tracks and some pretty amazing soundscapes. These tracks go from subtle and soft to intense and aggressive - all with an intelligence that is often missing in contemporary instrumental music. Stream the music over the internet and then support the artist by buying the album! This IS the future of music!
There are some things that are just best left to direct experience. Like this blog. Check it out. Enjoy. Love. Take what you want.
A virtual sketch book for Stuart Dummit, artist, musician, designer, writer. Cool stuff.
New album by Stuart Dummit - two long ambient pieces composed using iPhone apps. This is beautiful, crystalline engaging music that is great for meditation, background beauty or just unwinding. It fulfills Brian Eno's premise that it is as ignorable as it is listenable. And the price is right, too. You pay what you want. You set the cost. Brilliant!
Okay. It's me again. this is a great iteration of my site. There's music, art, interesting writing, a blog (of sorts) and information on when I'll be playing. Check it out and enjoy!
Stuart Dummit - guitarist, musician, artist, all sorts of things. New website. Pretty cool.
Here's a short clip of a rehearsal of the band DURATION working on a set for a reunion show. Short and sweet. Sound isn't great and not a lot happens, but you get the idea
short sample of acoustic continuo played by Stuart Dummit
Video for the dance track Olympus Mons by Stuart Dummit. Odd colors, images and shadows pulse and shutter across the screen with occasional references to eyes and the mountain on the planet Mars, Olympus Mons. This is IDM at its most oddball.
Long lost little brother of Brian Eno's "On Land" with a dash of Larry Fast's "Synergy" and a few other obscure and tasty references (Jarre's "Zoolook" and OMD's "Dazzle Ships,") this is a nice ambient electronic album of rich textures and worthy sonic explorations. Check it out, give it a listen, enjoy it!
A Free Download of a 7+ minute track by Stuart Dummit. There is a donation link on the site, but it isn't necessary. The music is futuredance funk retro scifi goodness. Lots of fun and worth more than a passing listen. There are obvious nods to the historic album "My Life In The Bush of Ghosts" by Brian Eno and David Byrne, so if you know and love that album, you may well enjoy this!
WOW! This project is moving fast. Web presence is expanding, people are talking, and they've just gotten started. - oh, who, me? Why, yes, yes I am a member of the band. Still, that's no reason to keep my mouth shut! This is amazing stuff and it'll only get better!
Review of the first Hormone Junkies EP release, "PROOF of CONCEPT"
Website for the band Hormone Junkies - no words to describe what class of music this is, except, maybe, "new" and "different" - but that just doesn't do it justice.
Music video of Industrial flavored piece "Neologism Part III" Kind of disturbing - just images of a guy seeming to have some mental problems. Stark, creepy and sometimes kind of goofy.
Music video of song "It's Sarah Palin Again" - strange, creepy and, well, just like Sarah Palin! And, yeah, I did it.
