In microeconomics, the agent with the power to determine what money is spent on is the owner (theres a technical term which I can't remember) of that money. The US government doesnt want Iraquis to have food and water and self defense. They want to domnate. This onion article shows what theyd do if they DID want to really help Iraquis. left/right is pretty much a vague set of ideas to divide people, especially the AMerican public. I havent read these articles, but ive read the titles and they're core deceptions the media performs on both sides. Probably a good site.
