I don't think the Disney bashing is really necessary, but I generally prefer anime to Western animation. Aside from the visuals, I like the difference in how the plot is delivered. It seems like most modern Disney films have to spoon feed you everything, leaving nothing open to interpretation. I can't help but take that as an insult to my intelligence. But, a lot of the anime that I've seen (and I actually haven't seen too much) gives you more to think about. Sadly, this style of storytelling seems to go over a lot of people's heads.
