"When a local [South Jersey] woman went to give blood recently, she didn't think much of it. After all, she has been donating blood regularly since 1983.
"Kim Fulton came out this time with more than a glass of orange juice and some cookies.
"The American Red Cross, Penn-Jersey Region gave Fulton a $3,500 gas card after a random drawing.
"'I was shocked,' Fulton said Wednesday. 'I thought they were calling me to tell me there was another blood drive in the area.'
"Fulton said that after she lost her sister to leukemia in 1983, she began donating blood. Since then, she has been a regular donor."
