Mania is reporting that Patch 2.2.0 will include Dash for raptors.
Currently, (Patch 2.1.3) raptors have the highest pet DPS in the game (along with cats and ravagers), but lack the Dash ability. Without Dash, most hunters aren't willing to use a raptor despite their obvious sex appeal.

It has been my intention to use Humar the Pridelord as my DPS pet. As you may (or may not) know, Humar is a unique black male lion. As if his uniqueness was not enough, he is also an extremely rare spawn. The general consensus is that his spawn time is between 8 and 12 hours.
