If the Rapture should happen tomorrow I would be the first to lasso the feet of ascending believers so I could sell them as environmentally friendly balloon-animals. I do not respect your opinions even if you agree with me. We might as well face the fact that you are most likely less intelligent than I am. You might call this arrogance, I call it realism. True arrogance would only occur if I ceased expecting the same standards of you as I do of myself. I am a living oxymoron because I do not care for your labels. I am Sketch Sepahi. Remember it. There will be a surprise exam. There is also a distinct possibility that you should not take everything I say seriously - including this.

Watch &Franklyn& Movie - watch-movies.net Watch Movies Online For Free...: Jul 1, 10:27pm (1 review) horror-movies http://www.watch-movies-links.net/movies...; A visually appealing film about the intertwined fates of four people; an atheist superhero in a city where religion is mandated by law, a semi-suicidal art-student, a man searching for his first lost love, and a deeply religious man searching for his missing ex-military son.

I really wanted to like this film because it has such great potential. The concepts and themes are intriguing and the visuals are grimy and gritty in all the good ways that count. However, I must be honest and say that the end-result didn't live up to my expectation. Somehow a great idea was squandered and something just went wrong. Obviously we as a smart audience know that when you're following four different plots, they are going to collide and merge together toward the end. However, we also expect that the way in which they all come together will surprise and excite us in the ensuing climax. Not so for Franklyn. The films seems almost anti-climactical and I what's left is sort of "meh" feeling.

However, the great concept of the theocratically run Meanwhile City with it's hauntingly dystopian visuals and very own brooding atheist anti-hero, John Priest, will stay with me far after I have forgotten the overall blandness of the rest of the film and its forgettable tale. Shame really. Perhaps they should have just focused the entirety of the film on Meanwhile City and Priest.
