I'm a teacher by profession and an aspiring writer living in Athens, Georgia, USA. I especially love writing, reading, travel, exercise, computers, meeting people (not necessarily online, but even some good friendships can spring up here), music, current events, politics, art,and history. I have lived and worked recently in Turkey. Near & Middle Eastern cultures are my favorites. I was also in Peace Corps in the African nation of Botswana. I have visited England and Greece. I hope to visit more places eventually. I feel that the world is an oyster with a precious pearl of knowledge. I take advantage of that pearl, so I am constantly seeking out new knowledge. I'm interested in so many things, and I love to discover new things. I'm not looking for people to agree with me to the letter, but I expect them to tolerate me and my briefs and interests just I as will do the same to them in return.
