Talk about a dangerous idea! I've been keeping this one mostly to myself for some time, as I am quite sure the second shoe will be dropping in Feb-Mar of 2010. Matt sez there's a baloon payment on the national debt that will do it -- I'm not so sure. I think it has more to do w/ folks running out of UI bennies.

Farmer K does great work, and is a real pioneer in "the Next Big Thing" in Oregon agriculture. You can visit him, us (the Sellwood Garden Club) and all the SE Urban Farmers to buy produce and your whatnots every Sunday from 3-7 at the new Hawthorne Urban Farmers' Market on 43rd, next to the Common Grounds Coffeehouse, in the car repair lot. It's gonna be ultra-local and super-RAD.

You know what, I don't like this, and am horrified that it's even in the "business" section. Is that really all a hero's life is worth? Shell killed this man and bought folks off yet again. Also, the person who discovered the page is wrong by a factor of 1,000 -- that's million, not billion. A million dollars is nothing to these people, yo.

I think it's time to change gas stations, but I can't believe the other ones are any better.

You'd better believe those holes are being filled up in the same urban neighbourhoods where obesity and "food deserts" are a critical problem. Cuz, rich folks pay the kind of property taxes that keep streets from falling into such disrepair. Oh, the things people will do for money, governments included.

I'd rather they were giving out blow jobs at City Hall. Once again, Portland is ahead of the curve.

You know, the massive lack of people buying any sort of luxury goods made me think they might call the baby seal hunt off this year -- Shame the fuck on you Canada!
