I am occasionally glad I live in a city that no one "back east" ever notices, as it's sandwiched between larger and more notoriously liberal cities.
If the USDA was so hot to actually do something about coddling moth, a ubiquitious pest of apples since time immemorial, in an area without an apple industry, you'd think they'd do something about the spread of Sudden Oak Death that has cost the ornamental horticultural industry BILLIONS of dollars in the last few years.
This is bio-warfare on the liberal cities that is done under the guise of agriculture, because ag-science is about as mysterious to most people as the intracacies of designing a computer processor. As we've lost the farming population it has become "boring" and "mysterious."
