I'm here because I want to help my best friends to continue their university studies, and more important than that, I want to help them not to lose their home.
Roxanne is studying Business Management, Dimitry is studying Engineering and Christian is studying Dental Technique.
It all begun in the afternoon of 23rd of December 2009, when their father arrived home from work complaining of an excruciating back pain; the pain was so intense that he could barely stand on his feet.
On the second day, Christian and his mom carried Eugene to the Emergency Room for a set of spinal column X-rays . The result of those X-rays was a bad one, showing that Eugene had serious problems with his spine.
After detailed investigations, multiple CT scans and MRI's the doctors diagnosed Eugene with bone cancer and multiple metastases in prostate, kidneys and lungs.
Eugene has began chemotherapy in January 2010 but the chances of survival were minimal since the terrible disease was not discovered on time.
After 3 months of terrible suffering, Eugene was defeated by this terrible illness and died on March 9, 2010 at the age of 52, leaving behind his bereaved family.
After their father's death, both Christian and Dimitry had to interrupt their university studies and work full time in order to pay for the funeral expenses and the mortgage of their home.
Also, the tuition fees are very high these days and they can't afford to pay them. For this reason the two brothers took the decision to financially support their sister, Roxanne, until she finishes her university studies.
Their mother has a part time job and a very small salary that barely manages to cover the utility bills and food. Following the death of her husband, her health condition has significantly worsened and she was diagnosed with heart, liver and thyroid gland disorders.
Moreover, Christian has been accepted by a prestigious university in Denmark to continue his university studies starting from September this year. Unfortunately Christian can't afford to go and study abroad because he hasn't got any savings, and from the current wage he can't afford to save any money because he has to pay for the mortgage and sustain his sister Roxanne at the university.
I know this family since my early childhood and I know that none of its members had not sought help from anyone because they are proud people who prefer to work in order to fulfill their dreams, but I see them struggling desperately to cope with everyday life's hardships and live in fear that they may lose the house.
Because I'm a student too, and I don't have large amounts of money, I decided to ask you all for help, and in this manner to bring my contribution and give this family a brighter and happier future.
With the money obtained from donations they will pay the mortgage and the utility bills; the tuition fees for the two brothers Dimitry and Roxanne; the tuition fees and expenses for Christian's university studies in Denmark, books, textbooks, notebooks, laptops etc.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the patience and kindness you showed by reading this sad story until the end. Any amount, no matter how small, is welcome. If you can't afford to make a donation don't worry ( I am aware of the financial crisis that affects us all ), but please help me increase the awareness of this sad story by sending the link to this case to as many people as you can.
Hoping that I didn't bored you to death with these lines, I sincerely thank you for your support.
God bless you and your families!
Yours faithfully,
Rares Neacsu
