well i decided its time to move on again, im going back to alaska! i think wyoming is very boring unless you stay drunk. and it seems that its expected for everyone to wear a cowboy hat.. give me a fricken break... the lodge im at now ( Togwotee MTN lodge) is ok if your a sled head (AKA a person that only thinks about riding his/her snowmobile/snowmachine 24-7 and drink until the point of pissing them selves during sleep.. im not kidding, its disgusting. and they are very rude (well 90% anyway) also the amount of oil they burn and or leave on the ground is sickening.. im not a tree hugger by any means - but these people just trash nature just cause they can and want to be admired for it like they are a gift to man kind.. i dont get it.. i can almost get it but not really.
BUT i did gain several things out of this experience
i have been living and working at almost 2 miles above sea level - it was a bitch but i got use to the thin air and i still can enjoy having a smoke.. also after being married for 14 years i didnt think i would find some one compatible with my weird ass but i did and she is very cool - everything i wanted in a partner and she wants to travel and explore the world too! and together we decided to quit drinking, i have had a problem with drinking for years - it never got in the way of work but it was just to hard on my body because of how much i would drink. so now my girlfriend and i are going to alaska and enjoy life and each other.. as of right now i have 9 days till im back with my girlfriend in jackson WY and then 2 days later we will be enjoying fresh sea food in anchorage for a few days then off to my next job back at the Grande Denali lodge!! i cant wait to go back, it just feels like home and thats where i belong. and i dont care that im greatly out numbered by bears!
