I'm not going to say I'm weird, because that's the kind of thing I used to say when I was fifteen. And I think everyone would be happier if they could forget being fifteen. But I think, if we met, you might say I was weird. Am weird. I love Europe, but who doesn't? I like bread and cream cheese from Croatia. I like plaid shirts. But I'm picky about them. I'm picky about most things. Or... discerning, maybe? I'm feminist and progressive and liberal. Because I feel like that's the right thing to do and be. And I hate, HATE, when people tell me my beliefs are a phase. "Oh, you just say you don't want children now! But just you wait. You'll come around." or "Everyone's liberal in college! Just wait and see!" No, I will not wait and see. Everything can't be a phase. Though, fortunately, some things are. Otherwise I would have some really unfortunate knee-high socks on right now. I told you being fifteen was hard.
