Polar bear expert barred by global warmists - Telegraph
Jul 2, 8:18am    (6 reviews)  politics  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/colum...

This is supposed to be science? One of the top polar bear experts is denied an appearance at a meeting of the Polar Bear Specialist Group (set up under the International Union for the Conservation of Nature/Species Survival Commission) because he doesn't believe polar bear populations are threatened by global warming.

I don't know where these guys went to school, but I was always taught that theories were supposed to welcome all challenges, then when they had disproved them all, the theory becomes a law.

This is one of the reasons why I don't believe in man made global warming - the stifling of any dissenting opinions.

How I beat KFC's 'family meal' challenge | Grist

Great article in which the author beats the KFC challenge that at $10, they offer a meal cheaper than one can make at home.

Home cooking is where it is at!
CP24- Parents separated from baby after transfer to US hospital because...

Is everyone sure they want Universal Healthcare coverage in America? While I am not disparaging the country Canada in any way shape or form, I do believe their medical system is lacking.

Why the need to send this premature baby the US? I am betting because Canada's health system doesn't have the beds available, which means, they don't have the funding.

I must add that I do owe Canada's medical system a huge dose of gratitude, as I was diagnosed with a detached retina without insurance and went to Regina to have the surgery because it was too expensive in the States.  I actually had a State run program that would pay for it, but just couldn't bring myself to put them in such a hole when I could afford the treatment in Canada.

What the hell?

My blog went from lame to really sucky with all the SU changes. I had no issue with the default mint green text it was giving me, but the retina punching white is a real pisser.

Now I have to go back to editing every post from here on out. Makes me feel like Homer Simpson when he bitched about how long it took for his meatloaf to warm up in the microwave.

Viva Homer!!!

see what I am talking about?
Strassel: The Climate Change Climate Change - WSJ.com
Jun 26, 10:16am    (9 reviews)  politics  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB12459750...

As someone who got his degree in the sciences, I have always been appalled at the lack of scientific proof the climate change crowd put forth. Even worse, was the branding that the believers labeled anyone who dared to question. Now it seems as if public opinion is shifting away from the Al Gore crowd to those that don't believe man is causing climate change.

Am I happy? Not really. While I have always felt some of the major players in the climate change were scam artists, I do believe many only want the best for our Earth.

I am all for being a good steward of this land and trying our best to limit any byproducts of us living here, I just don't need bad science topped off with cash cow taxes crammed down my throat.

I am glad people are waking up, but hope they don't forget how wonderful this planet truly is.
Fannie, Freddie asked to relax condo loan rules: report| Reuters

Is everyone paying attention here? This is one of the factors that led to the recent housing crisis. Relaxing of standards to allow people who normally don't qualify to purchase a condo.

Barney Frank is the same guy who pushed this sort of relaxing years ago as well.

Very sad.
Tattoo gone wrong: Stars and gripes forever? - Weird news- msnbc.com
Jun 21, 12:34am    (3 reviews)  arts  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31400926/ns/...

Got three problems with this story:

First. Cheese and rice look at the guy above! Would you really want to go to this guy if you only wanted 3 little stars, and not 56 instead? It might just be a hunch, but I am betting he has an issue with saying no to more tattoos...or stupid ass earlobe hoops...etc. Exactly which parent is this guy mad at?

Dumbass

Secondly. The stars actually look pretty good. So, quit yer bitchin...bitch.

Photobucket

Thirdly. Look at that nightmare of a tattoo I got on my hip that was supposed to be an American flag waving in the breeze. I would have been happy with the 56 stars on my ass instead of that piece of shit I got.

Oh well, at least I don't care for a third tattoo after the trainwreck I got.

PS. Note to the ladies. Notice the nonhairy ass. grrr.
