Patrick is a guy from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Painter, Designer, political clothing entrepreneur. Reviews are always welcome at my painting website and Progresswear, my company delivering politically charged messages. I'm also a designer and we've just launched a communications firm serving Progressive politicians and causes:Design for Progress. Whatever age it says I am today might be an outright lie. At the end of the day I'd be just as happy playing guitar.

The Yellow Rose of Texas Peace Bus

The Yellow Rose of Texas Peace Bus has been traveling the country for over 2 years spreading a message of peace and calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

The bus is the brainchild of Jim Goodnow, a dedicated 68 year old activist who drove a similar bus emblazoned with a call to impeach Richard Nixon in 1973. I had the pleasure of hosting Jim along with his busmate Miles for dinner the other night and spent 3 hours touring Philadelphia aboard it the following morning.

I'd presented Jim with two Lieraq shirts, the sentiments of which he was entirely in accord. He was on his way to Washington and told me that he couldn't wait to wear it through the halls of Congress.

We visited Independence Hall, The National Constitution Center and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Miles' ever present calls on the bullhorn to bring the troops home and impeach Bush and Cheney ringing through the streets. Many a driver and pedestrian met us with enthusiastic honks and thumbs up.
At a time when too many just want to shut their eyes to the travesties going on in Iraq, catching a glimpse of Jim's bus festooned with stickers and signage calling for peace guarantees at least a moment of reflection.

Sometimes a single contemplative photo can contain more news than hours of reporting. These photographers bring a personal sense to this war that few Americans see or ever will see.
