Giovanni is a 3 year old boy who's brain was damaged during his birth. His mom and dad have searched for every possible treatments that might help Giovanni have a more normal life. Not long ago they heard about the success that was being made be transplanting stem cells into children like Giovanni.
The treatment is not available in the area where Giovanni lives, so the family will have to travel to Germany where they will need to stay for a period of time, so that Giovanni can have his transplants and intensive therapy.
