It's a glorious summers day - yes, ok, you need a powerful imagination if you're in England - and you're driving through the beautiful, green, lush, Countryside.
There, like an oasis, is a traditional Olde Worlde, English pub.
As you approach, you see they have a chalk board outside offering Traditional Fayre, or Pub Grub. The aromas of home cooking waft through the open doorway... go on in, how can you resist?

I live in the south of England & work in education. I've just returned from almost 10 weeks in sunny Florida and am settling back into the UK way of life.
I intend to write some lenses on the funny things kids say and do and my experiences of working in schools. But I keep having brain waves for different lenses and didn't get round to those yet.

Everyone needs a reason to laugh. If we didn't laugh then the world would be a dull place. Not only that, if people didn't laugh, their facial muscles wouldn't get much of a work out, well except for when they were eating, so growls and scowls would probably stick on their faces. Just looking at all those grouches would spoil your day before it started wouldn't it!
So come on, take a joke or two in to start the day right. It's just as important as having a good breakfast. Give those facial muscles a good work out.

USB Hard Drives are now so cheap, especially here in the USA, that nobody should have an excuse to be short of disk space for Documents, Music, Digital Photographs, Movies etc, or short of space to create backups of their systems or data. It wasn't long ago that additional Hard Drives cost a lost of money, but now the prices of Hard Drives have come down tremendously, and in addition the popularity of USB Hard Drives has further reduced the price of these "plug and play" devices.
When it comes to disk space, while you may think that 250gb or even 500gb is more than enough, consider that with the resolution of Digital Cameras and Camcorders increasing all the time, plus the quality of ripped music and videos, the space needed to store these is continually increasing. If buying a disk for backup, you ought to consider allowing enough space to allow for multiple backup copies of your files, rather than just a single copy.
Buy.com has a number of these devices, several of which are featured below. Since models and prices change all the time, I left a general link to Buy.com at the bottom of this post, rather than to specific models. A few months ago I purchased several 500gb USB Hard Drives for just over $100 each, however now for the same price you can get a 1TB (1,000 GB) drive, which is nothing short of amazing.

Well, it's happened. I'm going to join all those mature people who are known as Grandparents. A new generation is currently preparing itself to enter this world. A journey that I am so excited about.
I had told all three of my children years ago that there was no way on this earth was I going to be ready to be a Grandmother until I was at least fifty. So last summer, I had that magical birthday and I just knew what was going to happen next. And it did. And I am SO excited!

I didn't always eat so healthy, but as I have got older, I now understand the importance of trying to stay healthy, and starting the day off right (well most of the time) is a good way to help keep your body in shape and to prevent problems later in life.I have to admit that the breakfast plate you see here, of Bacon, Sausage, Baked Beans, Fried Egg and Bubble & Squeak (left over potatoes and vegetables fried up in the skillet) isn't that healthy, but this is the type of breakfast most of us of my generation grew up with in England.
