Phiil is a 31 year old guy from Cardiff, Wales, UK

Kind of hippy, kind of goth, kind of geek, not really comfortable with any one of the above in isolation, but in combination I'm happier. Still have yet to discover my purpose in life, although I suspect it involves creating rather than just consuming. Someday I hope that the vat of knowledge in my head will ferment and some form of culture will emerge.

    Utterly incredible site and phenomenon. Strobist is a blog on the use of off-camera lighting to improve your photography. This, combined with it's often low-budget attitude has made for something very accessible to the average broke photographer.

    The wealth of information contained within (and in the associated Flickr group) is staggering, and will alter your photography for life!
