I like this article but do not think what it says is entirely true. So I have bookmarked it th'The pulsing of the screen alone must upset concentration- web designers at least in this country are warned about that. Furthermore the computer always demands attention if not concentration. The attention it demands is left brain. This means that the right brain and that part of the brain involved in peak experience does not get much exercise while on a computer. The oceanic experience for instance is unknoen there. So are the highs of meditation and the ah ha experience of Art and science and the warmth that can only be fully provided by pure human contact..
People have very little real liesure time and this may be reflected by statistics on web usage- However time spent on the web is time not spent creatively of that one can be sure.
