This blog is about bridge bidding sequences that have started with a 1NT opening and there has been no interference. Most people know the basics - Jacoby transfers and Stayman; more advanced players know about 4-way transfers and perhaps Smolen - which has now been superceeded by Quest transfers. But to fully understand No Trump bidding you need to understand more complicated aspects. One very important and much overlooked example is how to reach minor suit slams after a 1NT opening - it seems to be a forgotten art. Shape asking Relays after Stayman (SARS) is certainly the best solution, far better than any version of Minor Suit Stayman. Suppose you have opened a maximum 1NT with a 4-card major (or two) and partner bids
Garbage Stayman, then you also need to know about Stayman Super-accepts. These, and many more conventions are described in the No Trump bidding book, details are on the Pattaya bridge Club web site.
