I wish I was brave enough to drop everything and do something like this. I know it would be an experience of a lifetime....something all the money in the world could never buy. I am brave enough to travel alone and rough it as described; my main fear comes from quitting my career of 8 years and having a huge gap in my resume. What happens when I'm tired of roaming and ready to settle back down? I'll pretty much have to start all over again. That's the scary part for me.
