- My current financial theory:
* All that is being tried will fail
* The Gov / Fed will rise to the next level and claim new unprecedented powers in the name of "stability"
* banks will cease to function properly (first 401k plans hosted at banks - which are not insured)
* limits will be placed on transfers / withdrawals (including ATM withdrawals)
* there will be widespread company failures, large unemployment
* The US will experience inflation - then hyperinflation as mega money is printed to try and stem a liquidity crisis
* The world will make the Euro its new reserve currency
* All the biggest foreign buyers of US debt will cease to buy the new stuff causing them to lose lots of money, but also decimating the US financially
* Perceived power will shift to match with the real power that is current and the US will sink into international insignificance both economically and militarily.
Man do I hope I am wrong...
