Productivity for the sake of producing more gets you nowhere, except on a lifelong treadmill of churning out more and more product. However, if there is no enjoyment or happiness associated with production, then quantity may increase, but quality begins to suffer. With an ever-increase of productivity, at some integral point, quality must be sacrificed in order to produce more quicker. There simply will be "no time" for quality work, as well.
