WITH the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only the naive will fail to recognise computer games as the dominant art form of contemporary culture.
Many will argue that opera, theatre and visual arts remain among the guiding lights of our aesthetic understanding but, as with Hollywood films, all of these disciplines are very often incorporated into a genre that is increasingly eclipsing others both in terms of revenue and impact.
