I am originally from Reading, PA and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1998 after graduating from high school. Shortly after moving to the area, I attended Coastal Carolina University where I graduated in Business Management. While working on my degree, I obtained his Real Estate License in 2001 and teamed up with my father from 2002 to 2008 to become a top producing real estate team in Myrtle Beach, The Blanton Team. After several years of success as a real estate agent, I then joined ActiveRain as a community builder in March 2009. ActiveRain is one of the world's largest real estate networks with over 171,000 members worldwide. In December of 2009 I became the community manager of SmartHippo, a social media platform designed to help consumers make informed decisions when purchasing a home.
Over the past two years, I have traveled all around the country teaching thousands how to use social media networks to increase their business. I have spoken to entire corporations on how to integrate social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and blogs into their business and marketing strategy. I've been published on various sites including Coldwell Banker, Rubbermaid, New Home Source, and currently I am a guest blogger for my local newspaper.
When I'm is not busy working, I love getting out & enjoying some of the most beautiful golf courses Myrtle Beach has to offer. I'm a professional army golfer (left, right, left, right down the course.) Some of my other loves include spending time with my awesome wife and super cute daughter which is my "built in entertainment system."
