From the page: "Apple, which of course makes the signature multi-touch mobile device, the iPhone, apparently asked Google not to implement it, and Google agreed, an Android team member tells us."

When two competitors agree not to compete by lowering the quality of their product... That makes me question the character of Google's CEO. Is he a capitalist or what? Google produced a seriously competitive product, only to cripple it to assist Apple's lack of ability to compete with it?

    Not good...

From the page: "Mark Dice tries to sell a one ounce pure gold coin for $50, but nobody has a clue how much gold is worth, and nobody wants it."

This is completely, fucking amazing. I have to try this myself (maybe with silver). WHY DON'T PEOPLE KNOW WHAT GOLD IS AND WHAT IT'S WORTH? In general, people really are this fucking stupid.

From the page: "Most people in his position would be too miserable to give a second thought to helping someone else out. But Tapp put his own troubles aside to help out a stranger, pulling over to pick up the loose belongings before they were run over or stolen."

Poor guy couldn't figure out that someone else's need (especially a stranger) is *not* an automatic moral claim on his time, energy, or wealth... Maybe that's why he lost his shop?

  • The EVILS in the world and YOUR role in creating them

Let me sum up all the problems of the world for you...

    It all started with:

    NATURE

We live in the world. The world is unpredictable. Sometimes bad things happen. Those bad things spell:

    DANGER

That sense of potential badness creeps us out and makes us want to avoid it (sometimes at all costs). That overwhelming, creepy FEELING is:

    FEAR

We wonder what to do to avoid it. I mean, if we can't predict what's going to happen, anything could happen. When our predictions fail, we LOSE OUR CONFIDENCE in our ability to predict what to do gets shaken and in comes:

    SELF-DOUBT

When once we trusted our own judgement, our new SELF-DOUBT says "maybe you should listen to this other guy instead." This opens the door to anyone who wants to tell you how it is, rather than you figuring out how it is. This results in the following shenannigans:

    RELIGION

    AUTHORITY

    SOCIALISM

    COMMUNISM

    TRIBALISM

These opportunistic philosophical diseases have had disastrous results for the world:

    WAR

    PERSECUTION

    ATROCITIES

    THEFT

    OPPRESSION

So, to sum it up, here's the causal chain of evil in the world:

    NATURE -> DANGER -> FEAR -> SELF-DOUBT -> RELIGION/AUTHORITY/SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM/TRIBALISM -> WAR, PERSECUTION, ATROCITIES, THEFT, OPPRESSION, etc.

These resultant evils have ravaged our world and held back the rightful, natural progress of our past. Back then we might have been forgiven a little, due to our ignorance of how NATURE actually worked. Well... SCIENCE changed all of that. Now we're screwed. There's no going back. NOW WE KNOW BETTER. No more excuses.

What to do... What to do...

Well, we can't do anything about the unpredictability of NATURE and the very real DANGER it can present to us. We can't do anything about our FEAR response because it's natural and a part of our biology. However, what we can do is realize that FEAR IS JUST A FEELING. Feelings are merely indicators of the state of our own biology and tell us nothing directly about the world.

Since we had SELF-CONFIDENCE until FEAR came along, we can then see that SELF-DOUBT IS A CHOICE. If it's a choice, then we can see that we have always had FREEDOM where we didn't think we had it before.

The question then becomes, when you're fully conscious that FEAR is your natural reaction to the DANGER of NATURE, but since it was YOUR CHOICE TO DOUBT YOURSELF, who now do you CHOOSE to TRUST? Yourself? Others? A book?

This boils down to something really simple: Save yourself (and the world) by shedding your SELF-DOUBT and re-learning to TRUST yourself, or damn the world by giving in to FEAR and IGNORANCE.

It's all you... You're in the driver's seat... What's it gonna be?
  • Michael Moore: It's not Capitalism, silly man; It's...

From the page: "capitalism: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.

corporatism: the organization of a society into industrial and professional corporations serving as organs of political representation and exercising control over persons and activities within their jurisdiction."
