germany moves to ban scientology!
i took a couple of scientology courses in the 1980's.
the first course, in communication, was actually very useful.
the second course, in 'ethics', i soon stopped taking because they wanted me to write up every sin, error, bad dream etc. i'd ever had, in detail, and then be 'audited' to free me from them. problem was, i had already read the liability release very carefully, and there it was: they promised to never reveal or use any of my information against me, as long as i remained a member in good standing of scientology.
they harassed me by phone for a long time. i finally had to buy a codaphone and let them leave messages. they kept insisting they 'really missed me', and i was brilliant and needed to be 'on course' so i could advance 'up the bridge'.
it gets scarier. every time i move away, they track me down. thirty years later they are still trying to get me to come back to them.
imho, their courses could be useful but they are totally wrong in couching themselves as a religion. and the hassle i've received ever since makes me regret ever signing up for one of their courses in the first place.
I say, WAY TO GO GERMANY!
...ironic that their founder allegedly died insane after believing himself totally infested with those little bugs, whatever they were...
