in our Gay Village has been renamed by local citizens for so long now;
that Manchester City Council has given up the battle of the signwriters.
What was once the boringly predictable Canal Street;
Shall ever be known as Anal Treet.

A lesser known sign on Chorlton Conservative Club HQ,
declares that the founding stone was laid by Lady Cuntlippes.

If the citizens of what was Gropecunt Lane in 18th centuary London
want to return to their former moniker, then why not?
Anything that makes me grin with childish delight is welcome, in the midst of grimy inner-city banality.

Display Case 4: Beetles (Order Coleoptera).
"Beetles have complete metamorphosis. Larvae, pupae and/or adults of many species are used as food.
Obviously, people would not eat adult beetles whole!
The hard parts (wings, legs and head) are removed during preparation for cooking.
The larvae (sometimes called "grubs") are soft-bodied."
